S.A.D. – otherwise known as seasonal affected disorder

A type of depression that's related to changes in seasons and the lack of light is a problem that affects many people. S.A.D begins and ends at about the same time every year, usually beginning around October when the light changes and the days become shorter. These symptoms often continue  into the winter months, sapping your energy and making you feel depressed and unmotivated. There are many treatments for S.A.D, many of which are natural and holistic. Don't brush off that yearly feeling as simply a case of the "winter blues" or a seasonal funk that you have to tough out on your own. Take steps to keep your mood and motivation steady throughout the year so that you can feel just as good in February as you do on a bright sunny day in July!
